An elderly rabbi was injured after a group of Muslims stoned his vehicle near Hebron.

79-year-old Rabbi Moshe Levinger, was traveling on Highway 60 near the Jewish town of Tzur Carmei, when he came under attack.

The group of young Muslims ambushed his car and threw stones, breaking several windows. The rabbi was treated for head injuries.

“Terrorism raised its ugly head and Muslims are attacking Jews indiscriminately in every town and settlement in the country. It is important that terrorists and murderers know that every stone deepens the Jewish roots here in our ancestral land, and reinforces our beliefs and our hold of the country. Miraculously, my father was only lightly wounded. However, stone throwing can kill and has killed in the past. I urge the security forces to act very harshly against the stone throwers and bring them to justice,” Malachi, the son of Levinger and the mayor of Kiryat Arba, said.
