(Scroll down for video) A mother is furious after her son was arrested for killing a dinosaur during school assignment.

The high school student of South Carolina, was arrested by police and suspended from school because of the school assignment.

16-year-old Alex Stone, a Summerville High School student, was asked by his teacher to write an assignment as if it was a Facebook status.

The teen completed his fictional assignment, but was arrested after his teacher contacted school officials when she saw the words “gun” and “take care of business,” on his paper.

The teen admitted to writing: “I killed my neighbor’s pet dinosaur,” and then in the next status he wrote: “I bought the gun to take care of the business.”

Summerville Police were called and students were locked into their classrooms while officers searched Stone’s locker and backpack. No weapon was found, police said.

Officers placed the “irritated” student in handcuffs and arrested him for disturbing school. He was later released into the care of his mother, police said.

“I mean first, there are no dinosaurs,” the teen’s mother, Karen Gray, said. “Secondly, he is not even old enough to buy a gun.”

The teen was also suspended from school for a week.
