(Scroll down for video) A mother and her young children were traumatized when Texas police officers pulled them over at gunpoint.

The mother was driving with her four children, all under the age of ten, in her car. She was arrested by the police at gunpoint.

Kametra Barbour was ordered out of her car and was handcuffed in front of her children. Her six-year-old son also exited the car with his hands in the air.

In the video of the incident, which was released by police, the woman’s horrified children were heard crying as they were left alone in the car.

Police justified their actions by saying that they were responding to a call about a motorist waving a gun from his window, and that precautions were necessary.

However, their actions angered many people as the woman’s car description did not match the suspect’s car.

It all started with a 911 call and a clear description of a car speeding down the road with the driver waving a gun out the window.

Here is part of the call:

911 Caller: “It is going to be a beige or tan-colored Toyota, occupied by four black males.”

Barbour’s car was no match. “I drive a Nissan Maxima that is burgundy red,” Barbour said. Despite the clear mistake the officers ordered her out and handcuffed her.

When they realized their mistake officers tried to calm the woman’s hysterical children before allowing her to go on her way.
