(Scroll down for video) A boy was killed in his own bed as he was mistaken for someone else.
Nizzear Rodriguez of Georgia, was gunned down in his bed just one day after celebrating his 13th birthday.
Rodriguez, who has been raised by his grandmother, was sleeping at her Carrollton home when a 17-year-old man entered their home at 3:00 a.m.
The suspected gunman, Malik Davis, later surrendered to police and was arrested on charges of murder, robbery and possession of a firearm during a felony.
Police believe that Rodriguez was not the intended target of the shooting and may have been a victim of mistaken identity.
Carrollton Police believe that the suspect had problems with someone in the neighborhood, but he entered the wrong apartment.
Police are still searching for a possible accomplice in the murder. May he rest in peace.
