Police arrested a child who broke into people’s homes and watched cartoons after stealing items.

The thief of Zvishavane, who is just 14 years old, was found guilty of theft after breaking into people’s houses and watching cartoons on television.

Magistrate Peter Madiba convicted the 7th grade student of 11 counts of theft and unlawful entry. According to prosecutors, the child broke into several homes and stole property and cash worth more than $2,000.

The prosecutor told the judge that the child, who has a previous record of theft, managed gain entry into the homes through windows.

He then stole laptops, cell phones, cash and other valuables from the home. However, money was not the only thing the juvenile wanted from the homes.

According to the prosecutor, the boy sat and watched cartoons on TV whenever he broke into a house.
