A mother was arrested after she refused to speak with police about the whereabouts of her daughter, at work.
29-year-old Bobbey Jo Boucher of Florida, was arrested after she hung up the phone on a deputy who was trying to find her missing daughter.
The Pasco deputy sheriff called the mother to notify her that her daughter was missing, but she hung up the phone.
Police called Boucher during work hours at the Calendar Girls strip club in Hudson, to inform her that her daughter never made it home from a barbecue.
The mother allegedly left her 10-year-old daughter at the barbecue on Wednesday afternoon, before going to work, but when the girl did not return, the grandmother called police, according to court documents.
Sheriff’s deputies in Pasco County called Boucher on her cell phone to inform her that her daughter was missing, but Boucher allegedly told police “I have to go on stage” before hanging up.
Because of her action, police were unable to file a missing persons report, and therefore, she was charged with obstruction. The child was finally located at 9:00 p.m.
Boucher was later located and arrested, she was charged with obstruction and resisting arrest.
