(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested when his cellmate was found dead after eating drug-soaked underpants.

33-year-old Corey McQueary of Kentucky, died at the Jessamine County Detention Center, after eating the underwear.

Police said that the incident began when 55-year-old Michael Jones, was given permission to leave jail for a day to attend a funeral.

While he was free, Jones allegedly soaked his underpants in liquid methadone. He then wore the drug-laced underpants when he went back to prison and it went undetected by prison guards.

In prison, he tore the underpants and shared the pieces with his cellmates, including McQueary. After ingesting the piece of the drug-laced fabric, McQueary complained to jail staff that he was sick, but he never told them he ate the underpants.

He was checked by a physician and was placed in an isolated jail cell. He was found dead the next morning. Jones has been arrested and charged with murder over the death of McQueary.
