A construction worker had a near death experience after an angry young boy was fed up with noise making.

The construction worker in China, nearly plunged to his death after the child cut the ropes of his harness because the noisy work was interrupting his television program.

Liu Mai was drilling a hole in the side of an apartment building in Guizhou. When he was at the eighth floor, the 10-year-old boy took a knife and cut the ropes of his harness.

Liu said that he was using an electric drill to fit security lights outside the building when he felt the safety rope shaking.

He screamed for help while hanging on a single string. His colleagues called emergency workers, who struggled for 40 minutes to pull him to safety.

A spokesman for the local fire department said that the boy acted on impulse when the drilling made it difficult for him to hear his cartoons.

The boy’s father, Tang Peng, said that the boy has apologized for his actions and the family bought a new rope.

Peng said that he spoke to his son about the danger of his actions and that his son promised that he will not do anything like that again.

Peng also said that he is planning on taking his 10-year-old son to anger management therapy because of the incident.
