(Scroll down for video) A dog that was being walked, found a missing girl whose body was burned and dumped, police in Indiana said.
Indianapolis Police arrived on the 1100 block of Elder Avenue about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, where they found the girl whose body showed signs of fire trauma.
Detectives said that Bradly Parks was walking his dog when he discovered the body in his backyard. The girl was identified as 15-year-old Dominque Allen.
Police believe that Allen was killed at a different location before her body was dumped behind the house. Detectives questioned several people in the area on Monday, but no arrests have been made.
“The Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township was heartbroken to learn that a burned body was found behind a house in Indianapolis at 12:30 Sunday afternoon. The girl has been identified as a student at Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center. This week we will have additional counselors in our schools for students and staff who may need help,” Ben Davis Schools said in a statement.
