(Scroll down for video) An airline might face a lawsuit after a flight attendant refused to use a defibrillator on a man who had a heart attack because his chest was too hairy.
The incident unfolded on a Southwest Airlines flight from Los Angeles, California, to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
62-year-old Jack Jordan suffered a massive heart attack.
His wife, Caroline Jordan, said that the flight attendant and a nurse on board the plane began to perform CPR on her husband.
A defibrillator was on board the plane and it could have been a lifesaver if used quickly. However, the flight attendant said that Jack’s chest was too hairy.
Only after the man’s chest was shaved did the flight attendant use the defibrillator, but by then, it was too late.
