Two women of Mississippi, were jailed after convincing another woman to have butt injections.
Tracey Lynn Garner of Jackson, was charged and convicted of murder after she injected silicone into the buttocks of a Georgia woman.
54-year-old Garner, who pretended to be a doctor, was not licensed to do the injections, which caused the death of her “client.”
37-year-old Karima Gordon, died 12 days after the procedure. Garner was found guilty of depraved-heart murder and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Garner still faces similar charges in the death of Marilyn Hale of Selma, Alabama. A trial date in that case has not yet been set.
Prosecutors said that the victim was recommended to Garner by another woman. Natasha Stewart, an adult entertainer also known as Pebbelz Da Model, was also arrested for her role in the murder.
Stewart was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Garner, and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
When Garner was arrested, authorities identified her as a man named Morris Garner. Her lawyer confirmed that Garner was born male and underwent a sex reassignment surgery.
