(Scroll down for video) A man, who lived a carefree life with unlimited money, was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
The man of Taiwan, was sentenced to the maximum penalty of 30 years in prison for a series of sexual assaults and recording sexual acts without consent.
29-year-old Justin Lee was also ordered to compensate victims for a total of $926,000. He appeared in court for sentencing, which may be appealed to the Supreme Court.
Lee is from a rich family and had a good life. His father Lee Yueh-tsang, was a board member of Yuanta Financial Holding Co. and a director at Yuanta Securities Co.
However, his father resigned from his prestigious positions after his son became embroiled in the scandal.
The 29-year-old man was accused of picking up drunk women from bars and taking them home for sex. He was also accused of feeding women date rape drugs before having sex with them.
Lee recorded the rapes. He was also accused of recording his sexual encounters with women who consented to sex, but did not know they were being recorded.
Authorities found at least 14 victims of rape who were illegally recorded.
Lee has maintained his innocence. He said that he picked up women for consensual sex. However, the judge did not believe him and he was sentenced to 30 years in prison, which is an unusually harsh sentence for sexual assault crimes in Taiwan.
