(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault after he allegedly placed a boy into a hot clothes dryer, police in Maine said.
Bangor Police said that they arrested 27-year-old Adam Morton, after being accused of burning the 2-year-old boy.
The child was taken to a hospital with burns to his back and arms. Morton was watching the boy along with the other children of his girlfriend while she was at work.
Morton told police in Berlin, New Hampshire, where he recently moved, that he did not know how the boy was injured, and said that it happened while he was in shower.
However, investigators determined that the child was injured by being placed into a hot clothes dryer. Police also said that the child was likely in the dryer for an extended period of time.
When Morton was questioned by police a second time, he admitted that he put the child into the clothes dryer and turned it on because he snapped.
However, he said that the boy was not in the dryer too long. Morton was booked into jail and is being held on $2,500 bail.
