Consumers were shocked to see gummy bears shaped in the form of male private parts.
Now, the company that produces the gummy bears issued a recall of the defective products.
Dutch Rusk of New Zealand, imported the gummy bears called Dragon Sweets from China, about six weeks ago.
Two weeks later, the company began receiving complaints from people, who found that the jellies were shaped as male private parts.
Dutch Rusk said that the company immediately recalled the boxes once it started receiving complaints.
A spokesperson for the company said that when they received the first call they thought that the person was joking. The person however, offered to send them the bag of defective jellies.
The company had apologized to customers and compensated them with free candy.
The company said that the recall cost them thousands of dollars. The manufacturer also apologized and compensated the company.
