A Jewish man was horrified to find anti-Semitic messages spray painted on the walls of his building in Crown Heights, police in New York said.
Brooklyn Police said that the Jewish tenant recently moved to the apartment of the building, which is occupied by blacks.
The building, located at 1146 President Street, was hit with the threatening hate graffiti earlier this week. Police said that they were called to the scene by the Jewish man when he saw “Murder the Jew tenant” written on the wall.
Detectives of the Hate Crimes Task Force, have been assigned to the case and are investigating the incident as a bias attack. Meanwhile, the manager of the building painted the wall to cover the hateful, message.
The building is owned by a Jewish real estate company. There are no surveillance cameras in the building, and so far, no arrests have been made.
