A teen who was dying of cancer, was killed when the Porsche he was riding in crashed into oncoming traffic, police in Austria said.
Now, the family of 14-year-old Raphael Wittmann, is suing the charity that offered the Porsche ride.
After the crash, Wittmann ended up in intensive care and later died. Neither the charity or Porsche bothered to offer any help, and as a result, the family is now demanding compensation.
The teen was diagnosed with cancer a little over a year ago.
Despite intensive therapy at his home in Vienna, the treatment was not successful, and his parents were given the tragic news that was unlikely to survive.
Determined to ensure that his last days were as good as possible, his father managed to organize a party for him. Children charity Kinder Krebshilfe, invite Raphael for a ride on a high performance car on the outskirts of Vienna.
However, the ride ended minutes after starting when the mighty Porsche 986 crashed into oncoming traffic, leaving the teenager in intensive care with two broken legs.
