(Scroll down for video) Drive-thru services have been around in the restaurant and banking industries for years, but now, a funeral home in Michigan, is offering its customers drive-thru funeral viewing.
Paradise Funeral Home said in a statement that their service is one of a kind.
The company’s vision was to enable people to pay their last respects in a convenient place, their own vehicle.
Some people are just unable to attend the funeral service like those who suffer from an illness, but now they can see their loved one or close friend by passing with their car, van or truck.
“There is a sensor at the window that will automatically open the curtains so the person can see the dead,” the president of Paradise Funeral Home said.
The curtains remain open for 3 minutes. The drive-thru window is available from 7 to 10:00 p.m. People can leave cards in a box near the window.
Music can also be played during the visit.
