(Scroll down for video) Parents were left tormented with the news that their desperately ill children have been sexually abused by their doctor.

A judge in the United Kingdom, has warned the doctor that he faces a long prison term for his despicable acts.

Doctor Myles Bradbury worked as a pediatric hematologist, which is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of blood diseases.

The 41-year-old man worked at the Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, and has seen patients at other facilities as well.

Hundreds of pediatric cancer patients may have been sexually abused by the pedophile doctor. He admitted to sexually abusing 18 sick children who were under his care at the hospital.

So far, the doctor pleaded guilty to 25 separate sexual offenses.

More than 800 families were informed that their children could have been sexually abused during the five years that Dr. Bradbury worked at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Police found more than 16,000 indecent images of children on a disk in the doctor’s home. They also found videos of the terrible abuse.

Police began an investigation after one child’s parents believed that their child was sexually abused and filed a complaint.

The doctor reportedly asked parents to leave the room during the examinations so that the children were not left embarrassed. He then used the time alone to abuse the young children.

The hospital has launched a helpline and is in contact with the families of all patients who are believed to have been affected.
