A famous man was at the wrong place at the wrong time, when officers decided to make a prostitution bust.

Award winning filmmaker Wang Quan’an, was arrested in Beijing, for lewd acts with a prostitute.

Prostitution and the use of prostitutes are both illegal in China.

Wang allegedly admitted to soliciting sex from multiple women for three consecutive days, and supposedly paid 800 yuan (about $130) for his last prostitute.

He allegedly also admitted to having sex with two women at the same time. Wang, along with six other sex workers and an 18-year-old pimp, were arrested for questioning.

Wang is known for his films Tuya’s Marriage, which won an award at the Berlin Festival, and the White Deer Plain.
