A man who became extremely angry with his grandmother, threw a chair at her, police in Florida said.
The Volusia County Police Department said that they arrested 29-year-old Justin Penner of Deltona, after he was accused of throwing the kitchen chair at his grandmother.
According to the police investigation, Penner did not like that his grandmother ordered him to remove his dirty shoes. The incident unfolded on Thursday about 2:20 p.m., in the grandmother’s home located on Normandy Boulevard.
Penner was charged with aggravated battery on a person over 65 years of age. He is being held without bail in Volusia County Jail.
77-year-old Jean Penner flagged down deputies, who were in a parking lot on Saxon Boulevard. Jean Penner said that she lives in constant fear of her grandson who lives with her.
The old woman reported that she told Justin Penner not to walk in the home with his shoes because they had a lot of dirt. Justin Penner got mad and threw the kitchen chair at her, hitting her in the left leg.
After injuring his grandmother, Justin Penner left the house with his father, but was arrested when he returned home. The father told officers that “all my son did was throw a chair.”
