A man and a woman were arrested after they were caught using fake Israeli passports on their way to Belgium, police in Kenya said.
Nairobi Police said that the couple was arrested at the airport on Monday, after they were caught with the fake passports.
The couple arrived from Armenia, and they wanted to use the fake passports to enter Europe, the head of the anti-terror police unit said.
The two are being treated as illegal immigrants, rather than terror suspects. They will be charged by immigration authorities for being in possession of false passports.
Last month, three Iranian citizens were arrested at the Nairobi Airport while in transit to London, after they were caught with fake passports from Greece.
They were sentenced to one year in prison. Kenya is a close ally of Israel. Last year, a court sentenced two Iranians to life in prison on terrorism-related charges including possession of explosives.
