A man was arrested after he tricked his daughter into putting on a dog collar and shocked her.
The man of Wisconsin, is facing child abuse charges after police said he used the shock collar designed for dogs on his 7-year-old daughter.
Zachary Kacmar, 28, was arrested when his wife called police over the incident, which took place in the couple’s home.
The girl told investigators that her father placed the dog’s shock collar around her neck and said: “Let’s see if it fits.” He then pressed a button on a remote control, shocking her on the neck.
The girl then ran upstairs to tell her mother about the pain she endured. The collar left a mark on the child’s neck. The woman reportedly told police that she took photos of the injuries and her husband tried to delete them.
At first, she said that she was not going to alert the authorities, but she changed her mind after talking to her pastor.
Kacmar told police that her daughter wanted to feel how it felt to be shocked, and that she placed the collar on herself.
He later admitted to shocking the girl, but said that he was upset when his daughter was hurt. He said that he did not consider the consequences of his actions. Kacmar faces up to six years in prison if convicted.
