(Scroll down for video) An obese woman of the United Kingdom, blamed the government for being overweight, claiming that she needs more cash benefits to purchase healthier food.

26-year-old Christina Briggs of Wigan, who weighs 350 pounds, said that she can only afford junk food because healthy food is too expensive for her limited benefits.

“I tried to sign up for swimming, but it cost $36 per month and that meant I had to cut back on my favorite pizza and Chinese food,” Briggs complained.

“It’s not my fault that healthy food is too expensive,” she added. Briggs’ diet consists of Poptarts, chocolate chip cookies, potato chips, salsa and marshmallows, along with her fast food.

Briggs receives $36,000 per year from the government. She does not pay any housing costs as she lives in public housing.

She has no medical bills either as she is on the public National Health Care Services.

Briggs has two small children. “It would be good if the government offered a cash incentive for me to lose weight,” Briggs concluded.
