A group of mobsters killed one of their own and ate his body for dinner, prosecutors told a court in Spain.

Four members of the Arkan’s Tigers criminal gang have gone on trial in Madrid this week.

The police investigation began after detectives found the bones of the man floating in the Manzanares River. The four men were identified as Vladimir Milisavljevic, Vladimir Mijanovic, Sinisa Petric, and Luka Bojovic.

Luka Bojovic was also accused of killing the former prime minister of Serbia, Zoran Djindjic.

The suspects told police that they had beaten 40-year-old Milan Jurisic, to death at his home in Madrid, cut some of his flesh and ate it before throwing the remains in the river.

The four face charges of murder, forgery and possession of firearms and ammunition. If found guilty, they could be sentenced to up to 41 years in prison.
