(Scroll down for video) A short time after wedding guests left a wedding, the bride and groom were found dead.
The wedding tent was still standing at 4205 North Creal in Vigo County, Indiana, when the bride called 911 to report that her new husband was beating her.
She told the dispatcher that there were guns in the home. When officers arrived on the scene they found both the bride and groom dead.
The groom was identified as Dr. George “Scott” Samson, 54, who worked as an anesthesiologist at Union Hospital.
His bride was identified as Kelly (Ecker) Samson, 50. Scott killed his wife while her 10-year-old son was sleeping in another room in the home.
She was shot multiple times with a 40-caliber semi-automatic pistol, Deputy Sheriff Clark Cottom said.
George then went downstairs to the basement where he shot himself in the head with a 45-caliber handgun, Cottom said.
