(Scroll down for video) A woman who is on trial on charges of theft, was arrested a second time after being caught stealing from jurors, police in Pennsylvania said.
The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office said that they arrested 38-year-old Jawanda Tench of Swissvale on Thursday, after being accused of stealing $520 from jurors’ purses.
The incident began when the jurors complained that cash went missing from their purses.
Detectives reviewed surveillance video and saw the suspect, who seemed to have court documents sticking out of her pocket, go into the jury room around the time the money disappeared.
After reviewing recent arrests records, investigators determined that Tench had been in court that day after being arraigned and released on unrelated retail theft charges.
