(Scroll down for video) A 100-year-old woman managed to escape from her home after being raped by a thief.
Police in Kansas, have arrested one of the suspects for raping the woman during a robbery in her home.
Wichita Police have arrested 35-year-old Kasey Nesbitt, on Friday. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of rape and aggravated robbery.
The 100-year-old woman, who lives alone, told police that she was awakened by two intruders. The men entered her home through a back door and raped her.
She later managed to get out of her home and went to a neighbor’s house around 7:15 a.m. She told her neighbor that the men were still in her home.
Police took DNA samples and began an investigation, which led them to the 35-year-old suspect.
Kansas Department of Corrections records show that Nesbitt has been in and out of jail since 2000, with multiple convictions for burglary and theft. He was released in January 2013.
The victim is doing well, and is now living with family members.
