(Scroll down for video) A couple was left traumatized after being hugged and kissed by a man who robbed them at gunpoint.
The masked gunman entered a casino in Hagatna, Guam, and demanded money from workers.
The man, wearing a black ski mask and camouflage
cap, entered the Lucky Land casino in the village of Dededo. The man came into the game room, which was full of people and pointed a gun at two employees.
He demanded the workers open the door to the office.
23-year-old Genevie Santos was working at the casino at the time of the incident.
Because of a recent robbery, her boyfriend, Jhun Olivarez, 24, was there with her in order for her not to be alone. Olivarez also works in the game room, but was not on duty at the time, the couple said.
Shortly after 10:00 p.m., the masked gunman entered the shop. “He opened the door, pointed the gun and told all our guests to drop on the ground or be shot,” Santos said.
About seven people were in the casino playing games at the time. All managed to escape unharmed.
Santos said that the man demanded all their money. Surveillance video shows them throwing cash through the customer service window and the masked man placed the money in a black bag.
The suspect then demanded the couple to open the office door or he will shoot them. The man can be seen entering the employees’ room and collecting about $5,000 in cash. He then found the wallet that belonged to Olivarez.
He took about $200 in cash and the driver’s license from the wallet. Santos said that she was crying and told the thief that he took all their money and if he takes the driver’s license they will have no money to renew it.
The suspect then apologized, returned the driver’s license and hugged the couple. The surveillance video shows the suspect hugging both of them, and kissing Olivarez on the neck and Santos on the forehead before leaving.
The gesture did not calm Santos. “I was even more terrified,” she said.
According to the victims, the suspect said that he had just gotten out of jail. “I have no choice. Nobody wants to hire me, I am sorry that you had to be the ones working tonight,” the suspect said.
Police are looking for the suspect, but so far, no arrests have been made.
