(Scroll down for video) It was a scary moment for a couple when officers ordered them to the ground with their guns pointed at them.

The incident began when the pregnant woman went into labor and was on the way to a hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Rachel and Ben Kohnen rushed to the hospital at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, after Rachel felt that the baby will be born very soon. She asked her husband to get her to the hospital immediately.

Ben admitted that he hit the gas and drove 85 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone, police said.

A police officer spotted the speeding couple and ordered them to stop. Ben was trapped between following the law and his pregnant wife’s orders.

“I told him not to pull over,” Rachel said. She did not want to give birth in the car.

The officer called for backup, and police put tire spikes on the road to stop them. The couple’s tires blew and were forced to stop.

The couple was ordered to the ground at gunpoint until the officers realized what was going on and escorted the woman to the hospital.

Rachel gave birth to the couple’s fourth child, a girl named Hazel who weighed nearly 10 pounds. The baby was born about an hour after police escorted her to the hospital.

Police have not charged the father. However, they said that the district attorney is still considering whether to charge him or give him a pass this time.

Police advised others to call 911 ahead of time, in order to get help rather than speeding to the hospital.
