In a bizarre incident that was caught on video, a teacher was seen physically fighting a student.
The teacher of Maryland, is under fire after a video emerged showing her fighting a 17-year-old girl.
The beginning of the video, which was recorded on a cell phone, shows the girl pushing a chair in the direction of the teacher in her classroom at the Carver Vocational-Technical High in Baltimore.
The 17-year-old girl reportedly became upset after the teacher told her to stop using her cell phone during an exam.
The video taken inside the classroom showed that the teenager pushed the swivel chair in the direction of her teacher.
The argument between the teacher and the student intensified, and it spilled outside the classroom and into the hallway, where the teenager threw a book at her teacher.
That’s when the teacher charged at the girl, and the two began fighting physically. A tall male student tried to intervene and break up the fight, but to no avail.
The teacher was seen on video hitting the girl against a locker and pulling her long hair. At one point, the teacher was heard screaming:”I’ll kill you.”
School spokesperson Anne Fullerton said that the teacher was treated for minor injuries and was placed on administrative leave pending an internal and external investigation.
The student was charged with assaulting the teacher and was later released to a parent.
