(Scroll down for video) A girls soccer coach was arrested on charges of risk of injury to a minor after allegedly sending a video to his students that showed him pleasuring himself while watching them perform, police in Connecticut said.

Now, the coach at the Edwin O. Smith High School said that he sent the video to his students by mistake.

57-year-old Jeffrey M. Sirois told police officers that he accidentally sent the video that showed him pleasuring himself to some of the girls on his team.

It was supposed to go to his girlfriend, he said. One of his team members shared the video with her colleagues. The girls alerted their volleyball coach and she alerted the principal.

Police were contacted later. Sirois claims that this was not intentional and that nothing like this has ever happened before.

Sirois told police that once he realized what happened, he removed the video. Sirois was charged with obscenity, risk of injury to a minor and violation of peace.

He was booked into jail and released after posting $100,000 bail. Sirois was fired from the soccer team.
