Man uses chainsaw to destroy his parents’ home because they gave it to his brother

A man was arrested on charges of causing serious damage to property after allegedly arming himself with a chainsaw and destroying his parents’ home, police in Sweden said.

The interior of the home located in Lidkoping, was completely destroyed and the facade was severely damaged.

The suspect also cut down about 20 trees, which were planted on the front yard of the home.

The man admitted to causing about $100,000 in damages, but claimed that he had the right to destroy the home because he made repairs to it before his parents gave it away to his brother.

According to the police investigation, the man armed himself with a chainsaw and a pry tool, and tore up the floor, walls and ceiling of the house.

He removed the electrical installations and doors from the house. The suspect is also being charged with theft after allegedly stealing a water heater from the home’s bathroom.

The man told investigators that he just took back the stuff that it rightfully his.
