(Scroll down for video) A man who was arrested after smashing a Ten Commandments monument outside the Oklahoma Capitol building, told police that Satan told him to do it.
The U.S. Secret Service said that the suspect admitted to driving a car into the monument, smashing it to pieces.
The man was arrested on Friday, after he showed up at a federal building and making derogatory statements about the President Barack Obama.
The man also claimed that Satan ordered him to break the monument. The monument stood 6 feet high before the suspect broke it to pieces.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol placed the suspect under mental observation.
“The man was taken to a mental hospital and investigators will coordinate with the District Attorney of Oklahoma County on Monday, for possible criminal charges,” a spokesperson for the Highway Patrol said.
