A school crossing guard suffered injuries after slipping on a banana peel, rescue workers in Wisconsin said.
Racine Police said that the school crossing guard was taken to a hospital after slipping on the old brown banana peel on Tuesday morning.
A caller told police shortly after 9:00 a.m., that a vehicle hit the crossing guard outside the Jefferson Lighthouse Elementary school, which is located at 1722 W. Sixth Street.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene, treated the woman.
They said that the woman was not hit by a car, but slipped in the crosswalk.
She was transported to the Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital, which is located at 3801 Spring Street, for further treatment.
