A man was robbed while he was waiting for a male prostitute in a parking lot, police in Georgia said.

The Georgia State Police said that the man reported the robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Rolling Ridge Apartments around 1:30 a.m. on Monday.

According to the police investigation, the victim was waiting for a male prostitute, who he met online, to get money from an upstairs apartment.

While waiting, an unknown man approached and asked the victim what he wanted as he sat in his car. The victim believed that the man was trying to sell drugs, according to the police report.

The male became aggressive and said he wanted his money, lifting his shirt to reveal a gun in his waistband. He demanded his wallet and phone number of the victim.

After handing over the items, the victim put the car in reverse and drove away, the report said. The victim then saw a State Police officer on Prince Avenue, and flagged him down to report the crime.

The victim described the alleged robber as a black man aged 25, who was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 170 pounds.
