(Scroll down for video) Police needed a hazmat team to clean their car and prison cell after a man defecated in his pants while running from police.
The IHOP on South Drive and 36th Street Northwest in Florida, has been a hot spot for car thieves. Therefore, the Miami Springs Police began patrolling the area to catch the burglars.
One day, around 11:00 a.m., Detective Ray Tamargo observed a gray Honda with two men inside next to a red Ford Focus with North Carolina plates.
The driver of the Honda remained in the car, and the front passenger jumped out and looked inside the vehicle.
There was a purse on the floorboard of the red vehicle.
The passenger took out a pair of gloves and a screwdriver. He used it to break the rear side window of the Ford until it shattered. By that time, Tamargo had called for backup and blocked the suspect’s vehicle.
The driver spotted the police and both suspects ran. Officer Tamargo and Officer Robert Barrios, ran after them. Both suspects ran through backyards.
One suspect, who was identified as James Norvil, 30, suddenly began having stomach cramps and defecated in his pants.
When he was caught, officers asked a homeowner nearby for permission to use their hose to clean Norvil, who is 6 foot 2 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds.
According to Officer Tamargo, Norvil allegedly told police that he just got out of prison after serving 10 years for attempted murder and this case is likely to violate his probation, which could put him back in prison for another 10 years.
