(Scroll down for video) A convicted thief collapsed in a courtroom moments before being sentenced for stealing from her patient, prosecutors in Missouri said.
Jackson County prosecutors said that 55-year-old Barb Loseke, was convicted of stealing jewelry from an elderly woman, but her sentencing was delayed after fainting in the courtroom.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene, rushed her out of the courtroom on a stretcher, and she was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Several months ago, Loseke pleaded guilty to stealing from 91-year-old Lu Jouras. Jouras is extremely sick, and she is unable to speak or move.
This was not the first time that Loseke was caught stealing from her patients. Loseke was convicted of stealing from an elderly woman in Kansas City, Kansas.
A hidden camera in the bedroom showed Loseke taking items from drawers. She was sentenced to a year of probation and was ordered to pay $12,500 in restitution.
Loseke was also accused of stealing from her former boyfriend. She was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay restitution.
