A woman was jailed after crashing into a couple in a fit of road rage.
36-year-old Kimberly Pankratius was waiting for a parking spot at Walmart in Nebraska, when a couple suddenly stole her spot.
Pankratius became enraged when she saw Julie and Christopher Weakly, pull into the parking space she was waiting for.
Pankratius shouted profanities at the couple, but the two ignored her and continued walking towards the store.
An agitated Pankratius sped toward Julie, 40, and Christopher, 39, hitting the woman’s arm with the driver’s side mirror.
The impact caused the mirror to break. Although she was in pain, Julie denied medical treatment.
Christopher told police that he “inadvertently” took the parking spot Pankratius was waiting for.
Pankratius confessed to the allegations. She told police that she did so in a fit of rage. Pankratius claimed that she just wanted to drive fast towards them to scare the couple.
Authorities said that Pankratius was very apologetic. She felt really bad and was very scared.
Pankratius was charged with two counts of felony assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. She was booked into the Lancaster County jail, and her bail was set at $2,500.
