A police officer of California, was arrested for breaking into a home and holding a couple at gunpoint in their bedroom.
The King City police officer was arrested over the weekend, after he broke into the home of his former girlfriend about 11:30 p.m.
David Jose Hernandez, 33, broke into his former girlfriend’s house on the 600 block of Oates Avenue, Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies said.
He then went into her bedroom where he found her having sex with her new boyfriend. The officer pointed a gun and threatened the couple.
Hernandez was armed with a semi-automatic weapon and did not let the couple leave for about 15 minutes, deputies said.
Hernandez finally gave up and left. He was arrested on charges of false imprisonment, displaying a firearm and burglary.
Hernandez has been a police officer in King City for almost two years.
