Police officer arrested for exposing himself to women and children in public

(Scroll down for video) A police officer was arrested after he was seen on video exposing himself to women and children along a jogging trail.

Police in California, set up surveillance video after receiving complaints from numerous women and children about a man who was exposing himself.

Investigators were shocked to learn that the wanted man is one of their own.

Officer Ryan Eric Galliher, 33, of Los Angeles, is accused of exposing his privates to a 12-year-old girl while she was on her way to school. The officer allegedly asked the child to touch his privates.

Galliher is facing charges, which include attempted lewd act upon a child under 14 years old, a felony count of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a lewd act, five felony counts of indecent exposure and a misdemeanor count of engaging in lewd conduct.

Early one morning, before anyone else was in the area, detectives saw Galliher pleasuring himself, according to the Prosecutor’s Office in Orange County.

His oldest victim was an 80-year-old woman. Police are looking for more victims, and the investigation is still ongoing.

If convicted, Galliher faces a maximum sentence of four years in state prison and will be required to list himself on the sex offender list for life.

Galliher, who has been on administrative leave, was released after posting $100,000 bail.
