A married father of the United Kingdom, was shocked to be denied access to a park because he might be a child predator.

54-year-old Matthew Richards of High Littleton, Somerset, who is a bird enthusiast, traveled 25 miles in order to see a bird display.

When he arrived at the entrance of the park, he was told that single adults are not allowed for fear of pedophiles.

Richards, who is the father three adult children, could not believe that the officials of the child friendly Puxton Park, turned him away.

Richards, who also has three grandchildren, previously visited the park with his family to watch the birds.

Puxton Park officials claimed that the rule, as explained in the small print on their website, was in line with the rest of the parks.

Puxton Park has many attractions that appeal especially to young children, including a playground for youngsters aged four and up, but the bird display appeals to all ages.

Their website does state that single men and women without children are prohibited from entering the premises. The managing director of the park said that the rule has been in place since the park opened seven years ago.
