(Scroll down for video) A man called police and asked a dispatcher to send emergency workers to help his wife.

45-year-old Joseph Parke of Tennessee, told the dispatcher that he killed his wife Samantha, inside their home on their 12th wedding anniversary.

He said that he shot his wife in the head and put her dismembered body in a freezer. Two days later, he checked on her and found that she was not dead.

Parker said that he gave her water and asked paramedics to come help his wife, whom he still loved.

When authorities arrived, they found the woman dead. However, Parker was nowhere to be found. Police launched a manhunt, and eventually spotted him in his car and began following him.

When Parker finally pulled over for police, he shot himself before police could approach his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the incident, and said that the couple had no prior record of domestic violence.
