(Scroll down for video) Diners at a Taco Bell were shocked to see a man fully engulfed in flames calmly asking for water, police in Arizona said.
Arizona Police said that the man is in critical condition after he was engulfed in flames on Thursday night.
The incident unfolded near 35th and Glendale avenues, where customers at a drive-thru window came into a restaurant screaming that the man was on fire.
A manager grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the flames. The man was not yelling or screaming for help. He just stood there and seemed to be in shock.
The man then went into a nearby Taco Bell, and asked for water. Witnesses said that his body was still smoking. The children and families in the Taco Bell quickly ran outside as the room filled with smoke.
The man was transported by ambulance to the Arizona Burn Center of the Maricopa Medical Center. The man suffered second and third-degree burns on over 90 percent of his body.
Police are trying to determine how the man set himself on fire. Police do not suspect foul play.
