(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested for threatening his daughter with a gun while accusing her of cheating during a game.
The father and teenage daughter were playing the game “Battleship” on Saturday, but it ended with real violence.
Investigators in Utah, said that 68-year-old John Richard Valenzuela, pointed the loaded gun at his daughter after a fight provoked by the board game.
Police dispatchers received a number of calls from the 17-year-old girl, and although she did not speak, authorities were able to track her by her cell phone, using GPS technology.
Officers found the two, who were still arguing, in a trailer at a makeshift camp in a remote area in Salt lake City.
The girl told police that she attempted to leave, but her father dragged her back inside by her hair. According to police, Valenzuela was intoxicated when he pointed the loaded rifle at his daughter at least twice.
The girl was taken into state custody while the father was arrested.
Valenzuela was booked into the Utah County Jail on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and false imprisonment. His bail was set at $10,000.
