(Scroll down for video) Police in Washington, shut down a nursing home after the owner was caught on video raping an elderly woman.
Laszlo Molnar, 67, who runs the Auburn’s Adult Care Home in Auburn, was arrested for raping the 83-year-old dementia patient.
The family of the victim set up a hidden camera inside her room as they felt that something was off.
When they reviewed the footage, they saw the 67-year-old owner sexually assaulting the elderly patient. The family called police and handed over the video.
“It’s a very disturbing video. Obviously very disturbing, very traumatic for the victim and her family,” Auburn Police Commander Mark Caillier said.
Ambulances were brought to the home, and all eleven elderly residents were immediately removed from the home and temporarily placed in area hospitals.
Police said that the other patients were examined for signs of potential sexual assault because many of them suffer from Alzheimer’s or dementia and may not be able to communicate to police about abuse, authorities said.
However, so far, there were no signs of sexual abuse on other patients. Molnar was charged with 10 counts of rape in the second degree.
