A teen boy was arrested, charged and convicted of murder after killing a 16-year-old boy during a dispute over a bike, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.
Now, the boy has been sentenced by the Old Bailey, to serve at least 13 years in prison.
16-year-old Danny Joseph Drake of Mackie House, Mackie Road, pleaded guilty to killing 17-year-old Alim Uddin, at the his trial on Wednesday.
Drake murdered Uddin, following a dispute over the sale of a £90 ($140) bike.
The incident began with police being called to Tilford House, Holmewood Gardens, Brixton, at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, following reports of a stabbing.
Uddin was found suffering from multiple stab wounds and taken to a hospital, where he later died.
A post-mortem examination took place at the Greenwich mortuary, and they gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
The police investigation found the youth had lured Uddin to the top floor of Tilford House, with the promise of returning money he had previously paid him for a bike he never received.
There the victim was viciously attacked by Drake in an unprovoked attack.
He inflicted multiple wounds, including a stab wound to his heart. He was arrested at his relative’s house less than 12 hours after the murder.
Forensic tests confirmed it was Uddin’s blood on his clothes.
