Doctors in India, have pulled about 200 teeth from the mouth of a young girl.

The incident began when the 7-year-old child complained of pain in her mouth.

The child’s mother of Gurgaon, took her daughter to a dentist to find out what the problem was. X-rays showed that the girl is suffering from compound odontoma, a rare tumor composed of normal dental tissue.

The girl underwent two hours of surgery to remove the extra teeth.

Dr. Ajoy Roychoudhary, the chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, said: “It was shocking to see the child’s mouth. Our main task was to get rid of her 202 teeth.”

He said that although the surgery was relatively simple, it required high precision, and a single mistake could have caused her jaw to break.

Now, the girl can chew her food again, and her life has returned to normal.
