(Scroll down for video) A cuddling shop for adults is quickly becoming popular among lonely people who are seeking someone they can hug.
Samantha Hess of Oregon, opened her Cuddle Up To Me in Portland.
Her shop offers one-hour sessions that include touching, hair stroking, holding hands and embracing. Customers are charged $60 per session.
Hess said that she had to hire three additional professional cuddlers after a huge increase in demand left her unable to satisfy her customers on her own.
Hess received as many as 10,000 requests in one week. The sessions are recorded on video to ensure the safety of the cuddler and cuddled.
Customers sign a waiver agreeing to be clean, courteous and keep their clothes on. Thousands of people have no one to hold their hands or comfort them.
Hess offers a service that promises to alleviate loneliness, overcome depression and promote happiness.
