(Scroll down for video) A family who allowed their relative to live with them in the United States, repaid the family for their kindness by raping their daughter.
The brutal assault of the 5-year-old in Pennsylvania, was revealed this week, after she tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease.
The girl of Upper Darby, was infected with chlamydia after she was raped by her family member, authorities said.
Police were called to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, after the child was brought in by her mother and then tested positive for the disease.
According to the police, the rape happened a few months ago.
The suspect is an 18-year-old member of the family from Ecuador, who was identified by the girl. He denied raping the child, but he confirmed that he has the sexually transmitted disease.
Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said that the girl’s mother did not cooperate with police, but eventually admitted that she was aware that her daughter was sexually assaulted.
However, the child identified the suspect. “He put his **** in my private parts,” the girl told police.
The teenager was arrested and charged with rape of a child, indecent sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and other related offenses.
The name of the suspect was not released in order to protect the identity of the child.
“I guess the best way for me to describe this guy is an animal,” Chitwood said.
The suspect is being held on $250,000 bail. So far, the mother of the victim has not been charged in the case.
