A man was arrested on charges of voyeurism after allegedly attending public events and recording unsuspecting women, police in Canada said.
The Toronto Police Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in the Islington Avenue and Bloor Street West area, where they arrested the man who is alleged to have been accessing and saving child sexual abuse images and videos.
He was also accused of attending events in Toronto, and recording women without their consent.
“There is evidence that he was accessing and storing images of sexual abuse of minors,” Toronto Police Const. Jenifferjit Sidhu said. “It also appears that he was recording up the skirts of women at events throughout the city. Events like this can escalate to even more heinous crimes,” Sidhu added.
32-year-old Volodymyr “Vlad” Gamala was charged with 22 counts of possession of child pornography and access child pornography as well as voyeurism .
